It was actually sunny and warm this past weekend so we drove down to Wolfville for the day. We got some ice cream at the farmer's market which also has a petting zoo and some other activities for kids. Afterwards, we went to the beach.
This day was far too cold for swimming at the beach but Alex enjoyed throwing rocks in the water.





Alex developed a fascination for being a pirate after seeing some pictures of a boy wearing a pirate hat and using a telescope standing next to Captain hook. So we ordered him his own pirate hat and telescope that he wore everywhere (to daycare, to the playground). One day he came over asking me to help him put daddy's coat on because he didn't have a pirate coat. After wearing it for a few days and watching Peter pan and Pirates of the Caribbean many times he seems to be done with his obsession.
