We tried building a gingerbread house from scratch. Alex had fun decorating it after snacking on a few candies first of course. Daddy enjoyed eating it by sneaking pieces off the backside.

Alex will remember this with special thoughts of Christmas and of helping his Dad to make a Ginger Bread House, "just for us and Mom for Christmas."
This is a good thing, just like the memories of going out to cut a tree with his darned old dad while Mom decorated the house is to Paul, Alex's darned old dad.
